This page is for SUBMATA users who want to request that their account and associated personal data be deleted. You can submit a request using the form below or email our support team directly.

Steps to request deletion

Submit your request

Use the form on this page or send an email to support@submata.com with the subject Delete my SUBMATA account.

Provide account details

Include your registered phone number, email address, username or user ID, and last transaction reference if available.

Verify ownership

For security, SUBMATA may ask you to confirm account ownership before deletion is processed.

Deletion processing

After verification, we aim to process account deletion requests within 7 business days.

Data we delete

When your account deletion request is approved, SUBMATA will delete or anonymize account data that is no longer needed, including:

  • Account profile details such as name, phone number, email address and login profile.
  • Wallet/account access credentials controlled by SUBMATA.
  • Optional profile information connected to your account.
  • Device/session records and non-essential usage data linked to your account.

Data we may keep temporarily

Some records may be retained where required for legal, financial, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution or regulatory reasons, including:

  • Transaction receipts, bill payment references, meter/token records and service delivery logs.
  • Payment, refund, chargeback, fraud-prevention and audit records.
  • Support messages connected to unresolved complaints or disputes.

Retention period

Account profile data that is not legally required will be deleted or anonymized after verification and approval of your request. Transaction, payment, security and compliance records may be retained for up to 5 years, or longer where required by applicable law, financial-service rules, tax obligations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or law-enforcement requests.

After deletion, you may lose access to your SUBMATA wallet, transaction history, saved payment details, service records and any account benefits connected to the deleted account. To use SUBMATA again, you may need to create a new account.
